It does not replace the look over the shoulder but I use as a sneak peak to let me know what’s there. I am not sure I will use both sides but time will tell. Quite hard getting the cap into the bars but shouldn't be slack anyway. The mirrors detach just leaving the end stops. They are very light and unobtrusive. The mirrors can get scratched in time, that's why I'm on my second pair! Unfortunately I had to buy the lot again as I couldn't buy the mirrors on their own. The only issue is the reflection means that the vehicle is right behind you when it looks as though it should be further away.
