Review: Excellent Machine! Make sure your smoking surface does not greatly exceed 7" (the hood diameter) - I don't even trust a wall mounted hood to catch all of the smoke and be cleaned completely. And a wall mounted hood is loud! So this little machine is quiet. I had to make sure it is running. It's the buyer's job to make sure the smoking surface does not greatly exceed the hood's diameter, a limitation for any kind of hood. So, make sure your smoking surface is not more than 7". That's the true limitation for this machine. Otherwise, if you diligently follow the cleaning instruction and clean the filters every time you use it, it's a machine that works great: (1) You see that the filters are greasy (2) There is oil deposit in the cup (I didn't expect as much oil deposit as it managed to gather). For a 7" pan or pot, I think it works better than a wall mounted hood probably because you can place it very close to the smoking surface.
Review: Good stuff - When a vented-ducted one won't work for one reason or another, this is the one to get. Not too sure how to replace or clean the filter, it's not covered nor discussed at all. Booklet instructions are not too understandable, quite minimalistic.

## Features

- Triple-Layer Filtration for Superior Smoke & Odor Removal: Equipped with a 3-layer filtration system (polymer filter, aluminum alloy condensation net, and activated carbon filter - CBCF008), this portable range hood effectively captures oil fumes, grease, and cooking odors—even during high-heat cooking like stir-frying or indoor BBQs. This portable range hood ensures a cleaner, fresher cooking environment, addressing the core need for efficient smoke and odor control.
- Two-Speed Settings with Ultra-Quiet Operation: This portable range hood features two adjustable speed levels, adapting precisely to different cooking scenarios: low speed for light cooking to remove mild odors, and high speed for heavy smoke. Even at maximum power, this portable range hood keeps noise below 65dB - keeping your kitchen quiet enough for conversations.
- Compact & Portable Design for Small Spaces: This portable range hood boasts a space-saving size, fitting perfectly in studio apartments, small kitchens, countertops, and even RVs or camping setups. As a lightweight portable range hood, it’s easy to move and can be stored in cabinets when not in use, making it ideal for limited spaces where traditional range hoods won’t fit.
- Hassle-Free Cleaning: Rinse & Wipe to Refresh: This portable range hood is designed for easy maintenance: its filter and oil cup can be directly rinsed with water to remove grease, while the portable range hood’s main unit only needs a quick wipe to stay clean. No complicated disassembly or special cleaners required—saving time on post-cooking cleanup.
- No Installation Needed, Ready to Use Instantly: This portable range hood comes with a one-click start and requires no drilling or setup, making it ready to use right out of the box. Perfect for kitchens without range hoods, this portable range hood offers convenience for both daily cooking and temporary setups like outdoor camping.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this replace a full-size kitchen hood?**
A: It can't match a full-size hood's smoke removal power. This portable range hood is ideal for renters, apartments, RVs, BBQ outdoor，dorms and rental homes where drilling or ductwork installation is unavailable.

**Q: Does it require installation?**
A: No installation is needed. Just place it on your countertop, plug it in, and start cooking. It’s fully portable — no ducts, no drilling, no setup hassle, comes with a long power cord, allowing placement anywhere.

**Q: Does it remove all cooking odors?**
A: It significantly reduces smoke and odors, but no portable range hood can remove 100%.

**Q: How loud is the Ciarra portable exhaust fan during use?**
A: Noise level ranges between 50–65 dB depending on the selected speed. At its low setting, it’s quiet enough for conversation; at the high, it’s powerful enough for heavier cooking.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Machine! Make sure your smoking surface does not greatly exceed 7" (the hood diameter)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff
*by W***Y on May 13, 2024*

When a vented-ducted one won't work for one reason or another, this is the one to get. Not too sure how to replace or clean the filter, it's not covered nor discussed at all. Booklet instructions are not too understandable, quite minimalistic.

### ⭐ Ineffective Filtration and Hard to Clean
*by E***. on July 27, 2025*

The unit is quite loud, even on the lower fan setting. Unfortunately, the filter does not seem to work effectively. There is noticeable oil buildup on the back of the fan, indicating that grease is not being properly trapped. Additionally, the oil collection cup is poorly designed; it's difficult to remove and even harder to clean. While the concept is good for small indoor setups, the overall functionality and maintenance issues make it hard to recommend.
