I was definitely like "WTF!". I saw another review that mentions this exact problem. Then it started not gripping the cork and removing it. Then the pin that controls the lift assembly came out. I got it back in and it worked a couple of times and the pin came out again. I could not replace it this time. Obviously not a good choice for a gift to someone, and definitely NOT durable.
