**Q: What's the difference between the colours or is it just the colour?**
A: Yellow allow the greatest amount of "float" meaning that whilst clipped in you can still pivot your foot horizontally in the pedal. This is gentler on your knees. Red have pretty much no float, but are better for putting more power in without your feet moving about. Blue are in the middle. If you've never used them before, get yellow and then maybe blue once you're used to it and provided you have no issues with your knees.

Once fitted you clip into your pedals meaning your cycling shoes are attached to the pedals and therefore means you are much more efficient when pedalling. Hope this helps.
