It actually looks really nice in person, and has a premium feel to it. Seems sturdy enough to protect from some falls. I had the Speck case beforehand, which was falling apart and had sharp plastic poking out after about 2 years. This case seems higher quality, but I will say that the Speck was a bit easier to grip. I don't have the biggest hands, and this one is a little slipperier and wider at the edges.
