Had my other mount hardwired and worried about my bike going dead since there was no way to turn off the charging part. Bought this instead, worked it directly to battery posts. Works like a charm as it has an off and on switch on it. Just don't be the forgetful one like me and actually turn it off. Had to recharge my battery as it sat for a week.
