Review: Great fix for receiver going bad on garage door opener - So, the receiver on the logic board of my chamberlain garage door opener went bad. Since the logic board was too expensive and the wired push button still worked, I used the remote controller, together with a relay and a 9 VDC power supply, to fix it. Very simple and elegant solution. Now I use the remote configured as a momentary switch wired in addition to the wired push button (which still worked). Cheap, simple and elegant solution. Additional components you need to get: a relay and a power adaptor. It works! The photo shows the wiring and placing of the remote receiver with the relay hot glued above.
