Review: A good spring hinging solution for round fence posts and gates for the money. The spring tension can be increased by sliding the bar through the top or bottom bracket (don't install the bar fastener on that end). Some cheap gate hinges have too much friction caused by poor hinge fit and will inhibit your spring from automatically closing your gate. The problem is the hinge and not this spring. Works great after replacing the hinge pin receptor bracket. Recommend.

A good spring hinging solution for round fence posts and gates for the money. The spring tension can be increased by sliding the bar through the top or bottom bracket (don't install the bar fastener on that end). Some cheap gate hinges have too much friction caused by poor hinge fit and will inhibit your spring from automatically closing your gate. The problem is the hinge and not this spring. Works great after replacing the hinge pin receptor bracket. Recommend.
