The Baader Hyperion zoom Barlow lens has been specially designed for the Baader Hyperion Mark III Click Stop zoom eyepiece. The Barlow changes the normal 8-24mm focal length range of this Click Stop zoom eyepiece to a range of 3.5 to 10.5mm, and retains outstanding image quality for high-resolution solar, Lunar, planetary and double star observing. The Barlow can be simply and easily attached to any Hyperion 8-24 mm zoom. On-axis and field sharpness is fully maintained, and you can choose between the 1.25" or 2" connector. This product comes with an adapter for a T2 connection and for direct connection to Hyperion zoom (both eyepiece-side) included. Baader Phantom Group coating - this is a 7-layer broadband anti-reflection coating with extremely low residual reflection. The designation 'Group' indicates that the most effective anti-reflection layer system is worked out for each type of glass used in the respective eyepiece. All these various antireflection coatings, on each type of glass surface, have then been optimized so that they are most effective where the human eye is at its most sensitive at night - i.e. at about 520nm, which is in the green region of the spectrum. The best anti-reflection coatings appear almost colourless - this proves that the coating is functioning equally well over the entire visible spectrum.
