To me, it barely takes like coffee, so that could be why people think it tastes 'smooth'. The process of decaffinating coffee certainly reduces the concentration of coffee flavor (no matter the brand), but this coffee is particularly bland tasting to me. That may be due to the fact that it is low acidity, but unsure. My overall opinion is that it is bland and flavorless, but if you are looking for low acidity this will certainly accomplish that. It is rather expensive compared to other decaf coffees and the flavor is so lacking that I cannot justify the purchase.
