Comfortable and tough Review: Quality Work Denim - I've worn Levi 517 boot cut jeans my entire adult life, but in the last few years I've notice a marked decline in their quality and ease of tearing and wearing, so I've been trying to find alternatives. Landed on these Carhartt jeans because they are one of the few still sewing in 7 belt loops and have always had a good reputation. Well, these are still holding up longer than the previous pair of Levi's! I do a lot of metal work and bending/squatting and a fair amount of trying to maneuver around mildly pointy bits of miscellaneous materials in tight spaces, but haven't had a single puncture or rip. Waist sits right, pockets aren't paper thin inside like some other brands, they're comfortable, cost a little less, and the color hasn't even run out with washing and scrubbing diesel soot out! I only wish they had a larger flare to get over my boots easier.
