But these are fur lined so are really warm and very comrortable indeed. They also have a soft part at the top which stops the top of the wellie from flapping around and chafing your legs. I bought a size bigger than my feet and wear normal socks and then thick wollen socks, so they fit just right. With this arrangement, they are just so warm and comfortable. Plus totally water proof. Quite light too so I actually prefer them in winter to walking boots. They are nice and warm, roomy enough for extra socks if you want them but not necessary as the fluffy lining is comfy and warm on its own.
