The zipper extends one full side (20") so that you can easily access your fill. The zipper pull tab is concealed in a pocket so that it does not jingle while you sleep or catch on something and release your fill accidentally. The wool softens both the sounds and feel of loose fills. Millet hulls inside the case would make a great contour pillow. Shredded natural latex would provide a flexible pillow with some height to it. Overstuff the case for side sleeping height or leave it half empty for back and stomach sleepers. We very consciously source our materials for all our bedding supplies. Our fabric is soft and flexible, 100% cotton and 100% gots organic. The outer fabric is a double knit and the inner a sateen. Both are produced here in the US. Our wool is from farms around us in Indiana who raise small flocks so that their care of the sheep can be very hands on. Most of our farms raise their pastured sheep organically, though we don't ask them to pay for the certification as we prefer to value their word and our visits for their carefulness. The wool is not chemically treated in anyway. It is not carbonized, bleached or super washed. The only substance used on it is a mild soap to remove the grease from the wool as the us does not allow sale of wool with lanolin. Buying this product will help support small businesses.
