I'm a fan of the casing around the diode. Hopefully it'll last. You WILL need to code out hot/cold bulb checks to use these bulbs or you will get flashing and bulb out errors. Also to note: these are wider than the stock bulbs. With the E90 housing it's not a big deal, there's room to stretch it out. If you have a housing that has no flexibility I would not recommend this bulb. I forgot to take picture of the bulb installed in the housing, but I would say it is an 1/8th inch wider than stock. Not CANBUS bulbs! *by D***5 on January 29, 2018* Bulbs are nice and bright. However, keep in mind that these are non CAN Bus lights. That means, if you use them as license plate lights (like I did) your car might read the light as "out" because it can't communicate back to the computer. As a result, the computer thinks it is burned out and gave me a "BULB OUT" warning. I've since replaced the LED bulb with a CAN Bus LED Bulb. Just keep that in mind if you have a similar application.
