That took over ten pounds of wax to cover my wrist. The glove supplied to go over the wax was too thin to help the area warm for longer time period.This gel band works great. Heats up Hot - too hot if you heat it for 40 seconds. Try it for 20 seconds. You can put it in the freezer to cool it too. I am confident that it will work for you to. I can still type and be on my phone with it on. It's a decent compression feeling even if the heat/cold is gone.It gets cold enough in the freezer pretty quickly. Definitely enough time for the hour break in between sessions that you should take.The only complaints are: *the thumb part gets REALLY hot. Hotter than the rest. So I can't really put my thumb in it at the start. (Which that area is what needs it the most, but it still gets it fairly well.) and *I wish it went down further to get more of my wrist, which is what also hurt during this stint of arthritis.Definitely say to give this a try!
