Just a soft lining which keeps your hands very warm. They are very good for the price. **Q: Are these the insulated ones?** A: In my opinion, not suited for UK winters. I am in South-east of England and it is not as cold here, but after 10min, my fingers are frozen. So, not a good buy. **Q: Are these good for boxing** A: In the same way that steel toe cap boots can be used for swimming. These are insulated gloves with a sticky plastic applied to the palm. Finger and thumb pads work ok on phone touch screens if a bit hit and miss sometimes. Thermal quality is good and the grip is great, so much that I play golf with them when cold and I don't have to remove them to take a shot. They are the exact same glove and are fantastic. They fit perfectly and the gel on the palms and fingers makes sure you get a great grip. They are warm and comfortable, not sure if they live up to being waterproof as I haven't put them to that test yet but overall, I am really pleased with them. They arrive in perfect condition and within the time stated on the oreder.
