I think they are too strongly pre-washed just to set the character of the fabric. If they could soften them without causing premature wear they would have a superior product. But again, the fit for waist 33-34 and the pocket size and placement and comfort are all great, as are the zipper, seams, and belt loops. ### ⭐ Forced to keep defective, baggy pants b/c husband, 64, left for woman, 31. *by H***H on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2015* I missed the Amazon 30 day return period -- distracted when husband of 35 years moved out to live with his 31 year old girlfriend,causing son to require locked psychiatric ward help -- (yes this is true, not even slightly exaggerated), but no Amazon exception for "life turned to crap" to allow extended renewal period. Anyway, these shorts are very, very large but more important -- they are defective. There is a 4 inch long defect in the fabric above the left rear pocket that may have been caused by rubbing the fabric against an abrasive or something like that. That part of the fabric is discolored, frayed and very apparent as it is a much lighter color than the rest of the shorts. IF the pants were an actual 32 fit and IF the defect did not stand out like the proverbial sore thumb, I would have said the pants were well made. These pants were made for a chunky guy who does not mind a fabric scar on his backside. If anyone needs a pair of 32 pants, let me know.
