I had about 16 inches between my bed and the curtains. So not enough room for a nightstand but perfect for a shelf unit that is not quite 12 inches wide. It gave me a lot of extra room for books and tarot cards and decorative items. It took me about an hour to put together by myself with a drill. The instructions were absolutely perfect! It came very well packaged and not damaged at all. That made me very happy! It’s very sturdy and does come with a wall mount kit. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
