We are sticklers so we clean the pad every 10 to 20 LP records, using the method in the instruction booklet. "Apply a few drops of laundry detergent on the pad fabric and squeeze the pad in distilled water. (Soft tap works,as well.) Rinse thoroughly then squeeze dry in a clean towel. Air dry overnight."
