Review: Wonderful art inside - I was a little on the fence about getting this because the price was high and because I wasn't sure yet where Leyendecker places as an artist for me. It's still a little blurry to me, on one hand it feels like kitsch, where many paintings feel banal and naïve, with exaggerated emotions. But from technical side it's clear that Leyendecker knew art fundamentals well and certainly knew how to bend and apply them. It's an interesting study subject for me.

I was a little on the fence about getting this because the price was high and because I wasn't sure yet where Leyendecker places as an artist for me. This book is packed with wonderful illustrations of this much loved artist. I wished there were more in large format but given the amount of work the artist produced, I suppose its not possible. A must have book for any artist
