The heroine is all locked up behind thick walls to protect her heart from more hurt. From a child she only knew rejection which carried through to her adult years. Conner and Katie met the 2nd time so Katie could tell him he was a father to a little girl named Valentine. Their love story is epic with lots of tears and insecurities to be overcome so love could reign and their HEA come into reality! It was a page turner from the first page to the last. A couple, stranded in a Denver airport because of a storm has a one night stand. That is all they promised each other but it turned out to be more. However, the next morning she was gone and he never saw her again or got her last name. He knew all women would be compared to her. Not being a one night stand kind of guy, he set him up for some pain in the romance department.she discovered that with all the protection they had used one swimmer made its way to the prize. She was pregnant and had no idea how to find him. She had a name but didn't know if it was his first or last name and Chicago is a big city. She had no way to let him know he was going to be a father. Three and a half years later she finds him as the featured item in an article in a real estate magazine. She knows she has to let him know he has a daughter but she is full of doubt as to how it will go and what will happen. She knows that down the line the daughter will find out she knew who he was and how to get in touch with him and if she doesn't there will be problems between the two of them.This story goes through all the doubt and insecurities she is battling from her childhood and what will happen when she tells him and how will be respond. This hero is to die for. OMG he is delicious on all counts. There are a lot of sexy, steamy scenes that will make you drool. He is that good. He is not only gorgeous and delicious he is also a great guy with morals. What a great love story. I loved this book and definitely recommend it. It is a great read. This has been such a great series and this final book was no exception.Connor Prescott is not one to have a one-night stand. He's a relationship kind of guy and so when he meets a woman, Katie, at the Denver airport while snowed in, he steps outside of his comfort zone and engages in a night of passion. Connor finds himself so drawn to her and there is no way he can deny the sparks and chemistry flashing between them.
