It is tricky to use with smaller knives (fruit knife sbut not impossible at all. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works well with practice *by G***R on 24 February 2020* Takes a long time to sharpen kitchen knives and the clamp keeps coming loose bye overall it works well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ There are compromises but they are in the right places. *by A***L on 5 December 2015* Tried this out on two globals which I'd up to now been using the minosharp plus on. While the minosharp did a decent job of putting back on a decent sharpness it doesn't really remake the edge like this does. The kit box, clamp and rods are a bit "rickety". The box snaps the rods on far too hard. The hand screw on the clamp gets in the way of using the rods on the narrowest angle. The rods bend and need to be checked each time you flip the knife. So why 4 stars? The stones are great and for someone like me they have remade an awesome edge on fairly expensive knifes in a short amount of time. I also looked at the cheap versions of the edgepro etc however the stones themselves are the compromise (i.e. not very good, buy the edgepro stones and you're paying edgepro prices...). These are great and you can get fantastic results very quickly. Bit strange getting oil in the kit when you shouldn't use it on these stones though. I've seen guys online being very precise about how these are used but I just used the instructions here, past the course stone only pulled towards the knife. Nothing fussy at all and these knifes can now shave never mind cut paper. I've got a clamp on order, not sure I need it now.
