This is a solid replacement piece and you'll see that the material is thicker than the OEM part.Now... I'm not going to say its easy to get to (because it's not) but there are several videos on YouTube to coach you through it and its absolutely doable. Take your time and save a TON of $$ on this repair.Essential needs:-T15 and T30 Torx sockets-A 9mm and 10mm socket-A 10mm end wrench-A socket extension-A non-marring pry tool-A pair of pliers-PatienceNice to haves:-Skinny hands (I don't have these-- its like trying to work with boxing gloves on.)-A helper to hold the door panel while disconnecting/reconnecting wiresThe worst part is getting the door handle out. There is one nut on top that is very hard to get to, and once the handle is loose you'll have to rotate it several ways before it fits through the access hole.
