## Description

Frédéric Delavier s best-selling Strength Training Anatomy has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide. In his follow-up book, The Strength Training Anatomy Workout, he provided beginners with program guidelines that develop fitness and athletic performance. Now volume II provides serious strength trainers and bodybuilders with the keys to creating lean muscle mass. In The Strength Training Anatomy Workout II, Delavier and coauthor Michael Gundill focus on more elaborate techniques that people with experience in strength training can use to accelerate their progress and build more power and mass. Along with 60 exercises, 19 stretches, and 9 programs, it s loaded with over 1,200 full-color photos and 160 of Delavier s unparalleled illustrations. The book describes in detail some of the advanced methods for jump-starting a workout program, featuring segmented workouts that target specific muscle groups like the chest, biceps, and forearms. As a more advanced resource than the first volume, The Strength Training Anatomy Workout II, describes and analyzes the best exercises for each muscle, including the advantages and disadvantages of each exercise and strategies for accelerating recovery. It also helps hardcore strength training enthusiasts build up their weaker areas and offers instruction for developing a personal program, such as determining weights, repetitions, frequency, and progressions of exercises. Offering all the tools for creating power and lean muscle mass, The Strength Training Anatomy Workout II, is the perfect next step in strength training development.

Review: Fantastic book! - Found this book invaluable for arranging my home workouts, very easy to follow with superb diagrams. There is so much information in this book I’ve read it over a few times. The introductory sections and chapters on shoulders and back are exceptional. A focus on performing exercises safely is also continued throughout. I bought part 1 of this series which focuses on workouts using dumbbells and bands only and is aimed at beginners. This book includes exercises using machines like the bench press and cables. Highly recommend it!
Review: Amazing, A Must for Anyone Wanting to Build Up Their Strength - This book is simply amazing for anyone looking to build up strength and muscle. It may not be the best for beginners as some of the terminology and the exercises provided can be fairly advanced. However, for the people with a good amount of background knowledge this book is a must. The illustrations are incredible and shows the areas of the body each exercise works and the explanations to the exercises are very concise and clear. It has some very useful programs at the back, which I'm going to try out in the upcoming weeks. In addition it's worth getting the "Strength Training Anatomy" book in conjunction both work extremely well together and same author.

Really good book. Really good detail, and really emphasizes things to look out for and avoid, recovery and some of the pitfalls within training. If you enjoy training to quite a high degree or want to learn more then this is a really good book about not just training the muscles but understanding how they work, their relations and engery systems and their effect on the body.
