Have a family member with dementia that was bothered unceasingly by spam calls to the landline phone. Had some blocking features with the phone company but they were not completely doing the trick. In the process of looking for new phones to replace some very old ones, I stumbled on these phones. The blocking features really spoke to me so I said we'd give them a try.Let me tell you something: these phones work better than any blocking feature the phone company offered! I followed the instructions for set-up, followed instructions for blocking. There are levels to the blocking: you choose what works for you. Then I added family and friends numbers to the directory. It worked like a charm!!! Only calls from numbers in the directory are coming through! I love it! No more spam calls, no more unavailable calls, no more private calls!Now when I checked the phones, I did see the blocked calls in the call history, but they were silenced and did not bother my relative.I asked for three days straight if they had gotten any spam calls........NO!!!So if you are looking for a way to block those unwanted calls, I totally believe in these phones.Yes, I read the comments. Even with the negative comments, I was willing to take th chance and I'm glad I did.
