The supplied hardware was adequate, but I opted for longer screws because of the soft cedar wood. Zoom in and you'll see the concrete anchors I installed, two for each rod. These anchors are easy to use and a snap to install, but make sure the rods are fastened to a sturdy support. I had to add 2x4 bracing because my lovely gate material was so flimsy. The forms for the anchors I improvised from PVC pipe scraps scrounged from ACE Hardware. I poured rapid-set Quickcrete (red bag) and jiggled everything for about 10 minutes until it set. Highly recommended.
