I think the tighter mesh is actually a bit stronger than the larger mesh, but either way they hold up to rock sifting like nobody's business. It's cheap enough that I don't mind being rough with the screens that I make, because the overall cost to make a screen is basically nothing.Maybe the only thing I'd like is some sort of enamel or rubberized coating atop the galvanized metal.
