You tube videos a must for easier install. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The rest of the machine was still fine and I dint want to through it away *by K***A on 11 May 2018* My DC14 motor packed up after 6 years service. The rest of the machine was still fine and I dint want to through it away. I bought this motor but was very unsure if it would provide same quality suction and service. When it was delivered I compared the old motor with this one. They looked same, actually this one looked more robust. The wiring layout was much better than the original and it did have a suppressor capacitor fitted as well. Anyway following the instructions I fitted it. It needed patience as it is a multistage job. I had some difficulty in inserting the motor in the old cage but applied some ferry liquid which worked like magic. After installation I switched on the machine and surprisingly I couldn't detect any difference in performance. However, it was not a genuine Dyson product so I had my fingers crossed. I bought this in Nov 2015 and am glad to say that it is still working as first day. We have a big house and it is used almost every day.
