Review: A necessity if you have cats!! - I love these! Helps keep my door semi-closed while allowing the cats free rein in my room. They last several years. If you have a chunky cat, he will but stress on it enough to make the metal piece pop out of the plastic hole. We had to hammer back in but were able to do so. Our old one we had for 5yrs before repeated daily consistent use (and abuse) made it bite the dust. Bought this as a replacement. This one has more hole options than the previous model. I love that!!

I needed a short-term solution to give my cats some peace while I had an aggressively playful foster puppy who wouldn't leave them alone. I didn't want to cut a hole in one of my doors for a cat door, so decided to give this a chance. Honestly, when it arrived, my first instinct was that is would never stay in place and I should just send it back. But, I was desperate and installed it on the door to the room where the cats eat. Lo and behold! This is a surprisingly effective solution!! It tool me a couple tries to get it sized to where my chunky cat can fit through and the puppy can't. But now that we have it dialed in, everyone is happier! This item stays firmly in place even with push/pull on either side of the door. WELL worth the investment!
