When it came in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised.The reason I purchased this was because I was looking for a cheap alternative to Hario's gooseneck kettle. The spout on this was thin enough to get a nice controlled pour (for brewing coffee with the pourover method). Since it doesn't leak, looks decent aesthetically, and has a solid handle, I'm happy. This is a solid little kettle.It is little though (20oz). For a reference, normal sized mugs can hold anywhere from 10-16 oz of coffee, etc. If you want something you can make tea in for you and a friend- great. The spout is crudely welded onto the pot. The seams are very unsightly, but I guess I shouldn't expect more from the 5 or 6 year olds who probably did that welding for pennies a day in China.I didn't receive a sales receipt in the package showing the transaction, so I have nothing to send the teapot back with to get a refund. I was thinking about ordering a bigger pot, maybe the 48 0z. one, but I've seen other reviews that say those don't hold a full 48 oz. of water either.
