I can’t find Overjoyed Yarn anymore, and I’ve had a lot of trouble finding a substitute that matches it’s size and softness. I bought Caron Simply Soft Yarn on a hunch, and I am very pleased!! Even tho Caron Simply Soft is #4 and Overjoyed is #5, the two are almost the exact same size (Caron Simply Soft is slightly smaller), very similar softness and texture, and the same kind of sheen on the finished project. You really cannot tell I switched yarn halfway through my project! (In the first photo I attached, the silver yarn is Easy Knit Overjoyed and the sea green yarn is Caron Simply Soft. In the second photo, the teal and first row of white is Easy Knit Overjoyed and the three outer rows of white are Caron Simply Soft.) Now that I’ve been using Caron Simply Soft for a few days, this is becoming one of my go-to yarns. I love soft yarns, and Caron Simply Soft is a texture I cannot stop touching. It works up easy, it looks and feels great, and there are lots of great colors to choose from.
