It will not work with Optima-Chokes as the wrench here is designed to grip grooves inside the choke and the Optima-Chokes have the grooves on the outside. If your shotgun's choke tube extends beyond the barrel and uses a spanner wrench to tighten or loosen it, this product will not work as a choke-tube wrench for it. **Q: I have a beretta 12 gauge with a Mobilechoke. I can unscrew the choke and rotate with my hand but I cannot pull the choke out of the barrel. any help?** A: Lubricant. One with a solvent like CLP Breakfree would be my first choice & WD40 if it comes to it. Let the CLP sit on it over night & rotate the choke to spread it down into the threads. Worst case you can always grab ONE exposed side of the choke & use that to twist it loose (after soaking in CLP) dont try to grab the choke with plyers like youre trying to free a stuck hose. You will bend the choke & that could damage the threads/barrell. Just try inserting one prong of the plyers into the choke so the plyers can grab the edge of the choke. Then toss that choke, buy a new one & oil/lube it when you clean the barrel so we don't have this problem again. Good luck. **Q: what does the thread chaser do? Is that a separate function?** A: It is designed to clean the threads that the chokes screw into in the in of the barrel. However I have a ne and it doesn’t fit in my beretta a400 barrel.
