He's thrilled with it and wears it with pride.I myself have worn self-tie bow ties for years and liked this so much I bought one for myself. The price is a bargain and the bow tie is made from a lovely heavy satin that will really nicely match any high quality dinner jacket. I have a black tie event coming up in December and I'm certain this tie will be just the ticket.Having tried out this bow tie (both my brother's and my own) I must admit that I was thrilled with the quality and it ties up really nicely. If you prefer a slightly looser knot you'll be pleased to know that the tie doesn't slip at all so you can tie the bow tie as tightly or loosely as your tastes require.My one point of criticism is that my first order, the one that became a gift, came in a beautiful presentation box (which was perfect considering it was a gift) whereas my second order didn't. This worked out well for me as I wasn't too fussed about having a box for my own, but others may want to be wary that sometimes you won't receive a box for the tie.All in all, I'm utterly thrilled.
