## Description

ThunderCats (Original Series): Season One, Volume OneThunderCats, ho! See how the legend began with the first 33 episodes of the original animated series. Born on the doomed planet Thundera, in a faraway galaxy, the ThunderCats — half human, half feline — must find a new home on the Third Earth, a strange world where they must battle mutants led by the evil S-S-Slithe and the ancient devil priest, Mumm-Ra, who seeks the source of the ThunderCats’ power: the Eye of Thundera, embedded in the Sword of Omens, possessed by young noble Lion-O. The ThunderCats — Jaga, the wise; Tygra, the invisible; Cheetara, the quick; sly duo Wilykat and Wilykit; the deadly Panthro; Snarf and more — are all sworn to protect their young lord, Lion-O, but Mumm-Ra can transform himself into anything from a warrior to a swarm of locusts; where evil lies, there you will find Mumm-Ra. Can the Cats triumph over his tyranny?]]>

Review: "Garden of delight", is it edited? - Is the episode "Garden of delight" edited? We see Lion-O, Cheetara, and Panthro in the dungeon rewinding the surveilence device that Panthro sent to spy on Tigre, who was overdosed and out of his mind on that fruit, and the next thing I know I see Lion-O tied up like he's about to be killed and Tigre back to normal. I just get a feel like there is something missing. Was something edited between those 2 points? If anyone knows the answer will you please leave a comment. I love this show. I don't see what the problem other reviewers have with it. It looks fine to me. I am happy with it the way it is. The dvd's come in 3 standard cases 2 discs in each for a total of 6 discs. Additional Review: I just obtained a copy of this episode that was made from tv and it has more scenes, so this episode in this release is edited. With the added scene footage the ending makes sense. without the added scene footage the ending doen't make sense. Unless you've seen it before on tv, which I haven't. In the added scenes : Lion-O, Panthro and Cheetara watch the surveilence device and and we see scenes of what happened. Then Tigre asks Mumm-ra for more fruit in front of Willa.
Review: Thunder...Thunder...Thunder...Thundercats!...HOOOOOOOOOOO! - Feel the magic, hear the roar! Thundercats are loose! The famous theme song that is sung by kids of all ages that is still sung to this day in honest reverence. One of the best, most popular science fiction/fantasy/action animated series of all time! The royal family of a feline human species leaves their planet which is destroyed. Battlestar Galactica anyone? Pretty similar concept but that is where the similarities end. They fight in spaceship battles for a little of the journey before they escape into deep space. Now they find a habitable world on long range sensors but the trip will take several decades so they place themselves in cryogenic capsules similar to the ones on Alien/Aliens. Only one, named Jaga, remains awake to pilot the damaged ship to ensure they make the trip. Jaga gets them within autopilot distance, only about a day or two away but cannot live any longer and dies. The ship, damaged in the space battles with the Mutants, the evil beings that destroyed Thundera, the ancestral home of the Thundercats, identifies this new world as Third Earth, a world that could be in the distant past(look at the villain in this series) or distant future of Earth. The ship loses one of it's landing gear and barely crash lands at the site it identified as perfect for the Cat's Lair, a giant, heavily armed fortress to be the Thundercats new home on a new world. However, the mystical sword one of them carries has been magically detected by the villain in this series who is quite into magic himself! Now out of cryo-stasis and with The Cat's Lair built and operational, they must face exotic creatures, mystical threats, and extreme battles on their new homeworld! They gain friends on Third Earth to help them fight the evil beings after their goods and weapons. The leader of the Thundercats was in his early teens when placed in cryogenic stasis and after a long trip, he now is physically an adult but still rather teenage in his mentality and decisions at times. He must learn to be leader rather quickly as you will see. ACTION, ACTION, ACTION. A good mix of super space technology and ancient, mystical powers used by both good and evil beings. You will also see a LOT of Japanese Anime influence in the weapons and fighting styles that they use, especially Panthro and Cheetara. Made in the 80's, this cartoon is still watched and loved to this day for a good reason: it is just that AWESOME!
