A: Yes, you can adjust the settings to smart illumination which enables the spotlight (color nightvision) once motion is detected, or turn it off and switch to B&W night vision instead. A: yes it is a "flood light" for the night time color vision.  The function of the light is programable.  it can be turned on when the camera see motion, and other functions.

**Q: Can I record 24/7 to local PC?**
A: I record to an FTP server running on my Win 10 Pro pc.
