I spray it liberally all over my hair and them rub through with my hands to get it on the hair underneath as well. I then dry my hair as normal. I find it really nice, as it doesn't leave any sticky residue at all, and leaves it feeling natural and soft and looking healthy, without looking greasy. Plus the added bonus is this is majorly cheaper than the other product I used to use, so I'm thrilled to have found an alternative that's not only much cheaper but also leaves my hair feeling and looking really lovely.
