The emphasis is now on the story rather than being character driven. I do miss the original style but it cannot go on like that and the more serious approach of season 8 brings surprises, twists and perhaps shocks. Still a great cast and for me the best show of this type on TV (not that I have TV)! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the series, love the characters *by C***A on 28 January 2013* Just bought this along with Season 7, and the humour mixed into the drama remains intact. Mark Harmon still excels as Gibbs, as does Michael Weatherly's DiNozzo, David McCallum's "Ducky" Mallard. Sean Murray's McGee, and, the lovely Cote de Pablo's Ziva David and Pauley Perrette's "Abby" Sciuto (both of whom still have the same effect on me...)
