Truly, someone could be on the couch beside me watching tv and barely know I was rowing. It’s that quiet. I have the Electric Plug-In model btw. It’s quiet, and smooth when level transitioning. Seat glides well. The quality is excellent. My two things they could improve. The foot straps could be easier to tighten. I just leave as tight as I need them to row and then jam my foot in. Next is that, while the display is bright and functional, I realize now that it’s too low for me to read my stats well while rowing. The numbers are clear, but the little icons showing which stat it is are too small to catch on the few seconds before the screen shows the next stat. If that were placed higher, I’d be happy. To fix that issue on my own, I just need to memorize the order of stats as they show on the display. Working on it! Anyway, I’ve had this a month now and used it for about 20 days straight. I’ve even considered upgrading to another rower (something fancy and overpriced) But they are all loud where Merach is whisper-quiet, and they only accomplish one extra thing—they would sync the rower with the Hydrow app (that I prefer over the Merach app) so that my stats are automatically recorded.
