The previous reviewer does not know what they are talking about!First of all you don't "need" to download the app to get it to work. It works fine without. There are manual controls on the front of the unit to change frequency. It couldn't be easier.Secondly - It's not supposed to be able to transmit over a radio station! Use some common sense! You have to find a free frequency and select that. That's where the app comes in as the app can do that for you (although it's not rocket science for crying out loud!)The sort of power you'd need to transmit over a radio station would mean you'd need a licence to operate the transmitter! These types of devices are very, very low power so as not to cause disruption (otherwise you'd have a pirate radio station and you'd broadcast over everyones car radios on the motorway!)So in conclusion I think this is a very neat little bit of kit. Small and lightweight. It's great that it charges the phone too and the fact that it takes digital audio out of the iPhone means that you've only got one connector, the Lightning connector (rather than having to plug in the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the Lightning). Sound is quite good. Better than the Belkin ones I've had.
