I found they were easy to tune and held their tune very well. Excellent value for money. Review: Thoroughly recommend these strings as a replacement for Risa strings on a Risa ST ukulele - Bought these for my new Risa ST ukulele after the low G string unwound after only a couple of weeks use and during the first song of a gig. I searched the internet for Risa steel strings to replace but found that they were only available from Germany at a price after paying postage of over £20! A further search of the internet yielded advice to use the middle 4 strings from a set of 10 gauge guitar strings. Having used D’Addario strings before, I chose these because of their reasonable price and my satisfaction with previous strings from this company. The strings have transformed my ST. As I said, the original strings on my ST, besides seeming to break quickly, were difficult to tune and refused to stay in tune for longer than one song. After fitting the D’Addario set, I found that part of the problem was that the original strings were not sitting on the ‘0’ fret that the ST has. The 2-3 millimetre gap between the nut and the ‘0’ fret was enough to make the string go out of tune once fingered chords were used. I widened the string gaps in the nut with a small nail file, made sure that all 4 strings were sitting fully on the ‘0’ fret and the transformation was complete. Not only did they stay in tune, but the sound was instantly transformed, being much cleaner and brighter. After a couple of weeks use, the strings are still sounding great and I would thoroughly recommend these strings. ## Features - PERFECT INTONATION: Our best-selling electric guitar strings, these XL Nickel strings deliver perfect intonation, consistent feel and reliable durability. - VERSATILE, BRIGHT TONE – Nickel-plated steel wrap wire provides a bright, versatile electric guitar tone, great for a variety of musical genres. - FOR THE ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE – Like all D’Addario electric guitar strings, XL Nickel are made with our proprietary Hex-Core, ensuring perfect intonation, consistent feel, and reliable durability. - EARN REWARD POINTS - XL Nickel sets have a code on the recyclable VCI bag, which you can register to earn Players Circle points. - MADE IN THE USA – XL Nickel electric guitar strings are made in the USA—drawn to our exacting specifications at our New York production facility. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00AQBT3GA | | Best Sellers Rank | 36 in Musical Instruments & DJ ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments & DJ ) 8 in Guitar Strings | | Body Material Type | Nickel | | Brand | D'Addario | | Brand Name | D'Addario | | Coating Description | Uncoated | | Coating description | Uncoated | | Colour | Balanced Tension - Regular Light | EXL110BT | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,359 Reviews | | Finish Type | Nickel Plated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00019954984014 | | Hand Orientation | BOTH | | Included Components | 6 strings (10-46 Regular Light) | | Instrument | Electric Guitar | | Item Highlight | XL Nickel electric guitar strings provide brilliant sound, precise intonation, reliable durability and playing comfort. | | Item Type Name | D'Addario EXL110BT Balanced Tension Regular 10-46 Light Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings | | Item Weight | 0.06 Pounds | | Manufacturer | D'Addario Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | EXL110BT | | Material Type | Balanced Tension Regular | | Model Name | D'Addario | | Model Number | EXL110BT | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Warranty | 1 years. | | Recommended Uses For Product | Electric Guitar | | Set Name | D'Addario EXL110BT Balanced Tension Regular Light, 10-46 | | Sound Profile | Bright | | String Gauge | Light (.010 - .046) | | String Material Type | Nickel wound, steel, steel | | String gauge | Light (.010 - .046) | | String material type | Nickel wound, steel, steel | | UPC | 019954984014 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** D'Addario - **Colour:** Balanced Tension - Regular Light | EXL110BT - **Instrument:** Electric Guitar - **String gauge:** Light (.010 - .046) - **String material type:** Nickel wound, steel, steel ## Images ![XL Nickel EXL110BT Electric Guitar Strings, Balanced 10-46 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81SBTxOdgTL.jpg) ![XL Nickel EXL110BT Electric Guitar Strings, Balanced 10-46 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91B9OzCOo5L.jpg) ![XL Nickel EXL110BT Electric Guitar Strings, Balanced 10-46 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71jR7ks13BL.jpg) ![XL Nickel EXL110BT Electric Guitar Strings, Balanced 10-46 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81KJ4-MgXUL.jpg) ![XL Nickel EXL110BT Electric Guitar Strings, Balanced 10-46 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71g2zfWsKbL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How will the 10-46 be on a Telecaster?** A: Fine, they are a bright string so go well with country sound. 10s bend well and should fit if you are changing up from 9s or down from 12s.
