Review: Wish I had this years ago! - Wish I had this years ago!! Cooked my 21lb turkey to perfection! The meat was moist and most of the skin got brown and crispy. This is the first time I have used a roaster to cook my turkey, and I’ll never go back to the oven. I think the skin may have browned on the top if I wasn’t basting, so next time I won’t baste and see how it goes. So easy to use. (I did wash everything completely before use, but be ready for that “burn” smell on the first pre-heat, I did that the day before Thanksgiving just to make sure it was working). For my turkey I set mine to 350° for the first hour, it was already starting to get a nice browning, then turned it down to 300° until it was at 165° (about 4hrs), I then set it to warm to let it rest, and it was amazing! The wire rack made it super easy to take out the turkey for carving with plenty of juices in the bottom for gravy. Thankful for super fast shipping - I decided at the last minute to get this, the week before Thanksgiving, and it arrived Tuesday before. And clean up was a breeze, rack and basin washed off easily after soaked in a little soapy water. So happy to have my entire oven all day for sides and pies, such a huge help! Can’t wait for the next event to try the three insert pieces. They seem super functional. I do wish they were a little bigger/deeper, seems wasted space under them. I am shocked how well this worked for such a great value price. Highly recommend!

I would promote this product for the ease of use and proper heating. My one regret is that when I cook meat in it the juices soil the pot insert and I have to really scrub it to get the leftover cooking spices off.

A: I purchased this as a gift for my daughter in law.    Yes, I do believe you can cook a ham in it.   She cooked a 20 lb. turkey in hers.
