If so how long did you microwave it for at what wattage power microwave?** A: No, gave up and used a heat gun. A lot easier about 20-30 secs a side and it’s free! **Q: what are the plastic cards for?** A: to wedge under the sides of the screen when you have started lifting it (at least that's what I used them for!) **Q: To anyone who has used both a heat gun & this tool, which did you mind more effective? (I already have a heat gun by the way)** A: Dear Gregor,thank you very much for your question. The advantage of the iOpener is that it is a simpler and safer way to open a glue-laden device than with a heat gun. We would only recommend the use of a heat gun for experienced professionals as you have to make sure to apply constant temperature on the whole surface and avoid punctual heating. If you feel experienced enough, you might as well use the heat gun.
