I do not understand that. I have tried it with other video programmes and it seems to work fine. For what I want to use it for it is fine. You do not have to download any drivers. **Q: can this webcam run with windows 8.1** A: I do not know but i think it should run on any desk top system. Easy to install and fit. Only slight niggle is that it has to balance on top of our monitor and sometimes gets knocked off which is annoying but this isn't enough to warrant dropping a star.
