I had also purchased a larger blanket a few days ago that was Alpaca and Merino wool, so I couldn't wait to compare the two. This blanket has just the slightest of odor that you would expect from good quality wool but it's not offensive at all, and I might even call it a pleasant smell! I wanted a smaller throw size blanket, and at 50"x60" this fits the bill perfectly. Comparing it to other Alpaca/Merino wool blanket which was much larger and 2-1/2 times thicker they are both great products although I did have to air out the other blanket a bit. As you can see by the pictures, this is not a thick blanket compared to the other one pictured, but for the quality and price, you can't beat it! And as far as scratchiness goes, there is none, it has as very nice smooth texture to it. I am so glad to write this review and I have already ordered another one, as this one is a gift. There are so many companies on Amazon selling wool blankets, but not all are 100% like this one so make sure and check what the percentage is before you buy it. And make sure you read up on how to care for your blanket, as in washing and storing and it, and it will last for generations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice, from what I see *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on 19 January 2024* This looks to be a good quality blanket, maybe a step above military surplus.
