I also wanted vinyl because we had young kids coming and the paper with plastic backing don't hold up well if there is a spill. This 2 pack worked out perfectly as I had 2 long tables I needed to cover.These tablecloths by themselves would probably be fine on a plain wood table, but I was using them on a marble table and plastic, banquet table. They are a little sheer, so the print of the marble showed through.
