## Questions & Answers

**Q: will it sharpen European Wusthof knives?**
A: I thought I better answer as others have left a reply not knowing what they are talking about. Wusthof knifes leave the factory with 14 degrees angle and not 20 degrees as stated above. So yes it will be OK for your knife

**Q: Is it suitable for sharpening Global serrated edge knives eg Bread knife**
A: no, flat knives only, you generally cant sharpen those easily, even though some knife sharpeners claim to be able, its generally new knife time unless you can get a dedicated sharpener for that type of knife. I could be wrong though.

**Q: Does it hone the blade in the same way a ceramic honning strel steel would**
A: The minosharp is a ceramic wheel. It is easy to use and puts a good edge on our Global carving knife. It replaced a previous model which lasted several years, but replacement wheels were not good. Wish we had kept the old one to sharpen a thicker bread knife which we worry will damage the new one

**Q: What angle does this sharpen blades to?**
A: I can't find a direct answer to this, but London Sharpening Service will sharpen Global knife blades10 to 14 degrees and Global sell sharpening guide rails on their website that sharpen to 15 degrees. As Global also have the minoSharp on their site, I would guess that it would sharpen to around 15 degrees.
