Others I have used before (where I fell into the trap of buying more than I needed because they seemed better value) have all failed bar one in the last 2 weeks. Every other day for a week I had to try and sort a bulb that wasn't lighting in the bathroom. The problem appears to be loose fitting wires in lamp holders. These do not have that problem. They are quite stiff when you fit the bulb itself bulb but that seems to give the tight connection you want. The 3 spotlights in my bathroom lighting now all come on consistently, stay on without flickering or dimming and also all three give a consistent and the same colour. The leads also have a decent length so changing a bulb when it eventually fails should be easier. There is also no play on the cabling when you gently pull to check it before fitting, the other ones I did have felt like they weren't very well attached. Even the red ones are for different bulb types. GU10, G4 and MR16. It may be you are looking at a different brand and will do the same job.
