The modern weight has different external dimensions but the internal valve seating profile seems to be identical to the old weight. It sits on the valve outlet correctly. The physical weight of the old weight might be slightly more than the modern component.The physical weight of the part and the active area of the seating sets the pressure = temperature. Possibly this part suits all SEB Authentic style pressure cookers irrespective of the cooker volume and its age. SEB seems to have an interchangeability design policy ;the modern handles fit the 40 year old cooker also.
