Applying it to your skin in a uniform way that has no wrinkles in it is a little tricky because it's very thin and flexible. I used it post surgery and kept the wound completely dry and clean during baths, allowing my wound to heal without getting infected. It does peel off the skin pretty well but it might tug on your hair. Keep in mind the picture of this product is misleading. I bought the 10" x 12" size and there's a 2 and 1/2-in perimeter of sticky around the pad in the middle. Although it will cover your smaller bandage, if you have a large one then it'll probably start peeling it off when you try to take it off. Be aware that most adhesives, such as this one, will not adhere well to heavy chest hair and, if you place it directly over your bandaged catheter it will pull it all off when removing. I get around that by taping a piece of saran wrap over the catheter, then applying the product. Patience is a virtue when removing the backing material from the product once it's on your chest.
