Take them off fully, or just tuck under seat?** A: the elasticated bits sits neatly under my topbox support ( although could be nicked if someone noticed and really wanted toThe other strap section kept under seat...all could be kept under seat of course....I only use infrequently...hope this helps... **Q: Would these work to secure a pillion helmet?** A: I dont think it would work with a helmet as the shape is too cylindrical or you may have to use several straps to secure properly. You would be better off with a net to secure a helmet. They work extremely well to secure luggage and bags easily without damage and scratching to the bike frame. **Q: Can you use these to secure pillion helmet on the back of the bike?** A: I have used my ones to strap a dry bag to my carrier rack and a tent and sleeping bag to the back seat. I'm not sure about a helmet to the back seat. It would probably do the job for short journeys. I would also recommend using some sort of protection mat/blanket over your helmet / parts of the paintwork the strap might rub against. I think they are much better than bungies though. I wonder if you might be better with a cargo net if you have fixing points for this. **Q: Would I be able to use it to tie a bag to my brompton bike?** A: I use them to fasten bags onto a motorbike. The straps are in 2 pieces with an elasticated section and have a loop at one end and either a male or female 'Rucsac' type clasp at the other. You wrap each piece around something on your vehicle, push the clasp end through the looped end and pull it tight to secure the strap in place. You then fasten both the clasped ends together around your bag. The straps are adjustable for length so you then pull on the adjuster until the strap is tight around the luggage and securing it in position.
